Long black dress

I'm off to the airport in a bit to go pick up my friend from Texas. It's suppose to get warmer this afternoon so I'm hoping I won't have to add a sweater to this dress.
Here is me trying to pose serious
And...yeah, I don't know how to pose serious. Oh well:)

  2. Beautiful!
I hope it gets warmer here as well...
I've been dying to wear sun dresses.
Almost everything as gifted, you're SPOILED. *smiles*

  3. Hi Missi, I love your long dress. Do you mind my asking how tall you are? I've been wanting to get a long dress and everyone says I'm too short (5'3") Hope you have a great day!

  4. Love this dress and love it on you. I am super short at five two and can't seem to pull off the long skirt/long dress look without looking dumpy. Are you on the taller side or do you have a great tip you would share with us who are more vertically challenged?

  5. You can definitely rock the maxi-dress! Color me jealous. I just look pregnant every time I get brave enough to try one on!

  6. I LOVE that dress. Looks great on you, especially in black. I'm on the fence with maxi dresses, but you might have just pushed me over the edge!

  9. Hey ladies, thanks for the complements. I never thought I could do Maxi dresses since I'm only 5' 1" and even this one my hubby is like "it's okay" lol.

Just try on as many styles as you can and find one that works. This is from Old Navy and I got it slightly smaller so it's nice and fitted over my bust and as small under it as can be. This avoids the "pregnancy" belly look.
Also, keeping the straps wider is better since I am busty, no spaghetti straps for me. All you short girls, go try on some dresses, see if you find one that works!

I looked on Old Navy's website for this dress, but all of their maxi dresses have spaghetti straps.

  14. I like the dress. I find it hard to find maxi dresses long enough for me .. so I've pretty much given up.

The wall behind you is amazing as well. Did you paint that?
