J.CREW Launches a Maternity Line

Did you know J.CREW started a maternity line? I happened across it the other day. So far it looks like they are only offering two different pant styles - The Minnie and Pixie pant. However, there will be an expansion to denim soon!

These pieces are way over my budget, but a girl can dream!

Outfit Post: Trouser Maternity Pants

I'm not a huge fan of maternity trousers. I bought these for my first pregnancy at Target to wear to work, and have only worn them once for this pregnancy. They just don't seem to lay right. I love the check pattern on them and the colors (taupe and peach), but the shape I could do without. Nevertheless, I'm getting desperate for something different, so I thought I'd give these another try.

Outfit Post: Inspired again by my husband's closet

I really liked this outfit as it was coming together...
Until I checked out my side profile - what a difference! I'm looking pretty lopsided or something these days! ha ha!
So happy my husband wears large enough shirts that I can button them over my belly!

Outfit Post: Chocolate Day

My son and I are going to make chocolate goodies today - which is a perfect excuse to dress in that color from head to toe, no?
This is my last week of my second trimester - I will think that these last three months went by quickly when it's all over with, but for now the days are dragging by. I'm definitely at that uncomfortable stage already and know it will only get worse from here on out!

Outfit Post: Maternity Coat

I had my 24 week prenatal appointment today. Just a quick weight check, blood pressure check, listening to the heartbeat and measuring the fundal height...boring, I know, but exciting to me that I'm more than half way there! I don't know why my son wouldn't smile for the picture - he was smiling before and after at least!

And this is my new "maternity" coat. It's actually my Mom's swing coat that she is letting me borrow since it has plenty of belly room. I love it!

Outfit Post: Park Day with the Boy

I finally had a chance to get these pants hemmed and figured I better start getting some wear out of them, since they are new maternity pants I bought before I was pregnant.
I have Thursdays off of work and decided to celebrate Veterans Day at the park with my little man. After we finished some preschool school work, we walked down to the park with picnic basket and story books in tow. We had such a good time! It was almost 70 degrees today - rare for Northwest Ohio.

Outfit Post: Romancing Cargo Pants

This outfit would look so much better with a belt cinching in right under the bust - but unfortunately, I don't have a belt that is comfortable enough.
I had hoped when I found this top that I could wear it in the early part of my pregnancy, and am so glad I can! It's too short to last too much longer, but is perfect for my current size.
Whenever I wear this soft pink color, I use it as an excuse to pull out my pale pink barrett and my pale pink porcelain rose earrings.
I'm not a fan of cargoes. But for the price, I couldn't pass them up. Maternity wear for me is all about comfort and low prices. I can't afford more on something I will wear for such a short time. So since they were comfortable, and only $7, they found their way home with me. They make me look shorter and wider, and just don't fit my feminine style--but hopefully the romantic top, earrings, and hairdo distract from the bottom, and I'll get my $7 worth!
