Tomorrow is my due date! Woohoo!

Wore this to church today. I have to admit that the heels had to go as soon as I got home and the belt came off while out to lunch. But hey, at least I made it through church like this!

My sister Missi and her three children came to visit this weekend. We shopped, we chatted, we walked, and we got pedis. What more could two sisters ask for?

To belt or not to belt?

This dressy is very comfortable, but has very little shape. I tried it with the belt and thought it looked a little too constricting - but maybe I'm wrong? Does it look better belted?

Plaid Dress

Went on a fun shopping trip the other night with the Junior High girls at my church. We were going to try to hit as many Goodwills as we could Friday night. We struck out big at the first one we went to and never moved on to the next store. Everybody found something, inclulding myself - this dress is one of my finds.

I remember when this dress first debuted in the GO International line at Target. I wanted it so bad, but I was determined to wait for it to go on clearance. They sold out before they got low enough for my budget. I may have had to wait a lot longer than I would have liked, but finally 3+ years later, I have the dress! I found it at Goodwill for $5.50. It is like brand new, too, and in my size - no alterations needed!

I always get excited about finding Fall/Winter dresses. I have Spring and Summer dresses in abundance, but only a handful of cold weather dresses. This one works perfect with rugged belts, hats, belts, tights - that's right, perfect for the cold.

Lace for Winter

On a shopping trip with my sisters in Chicago, my sister and I both picked up this dress as Target. It is seasonless, flattering, feminine, and trendy - what more could you want in a dress?

I found this cute navy peacoat at the Gap Outlet for only $21! Haven't had a new coat in a while, so I'm glad I have something new to keep things interesting for the rest of this dreary winter.

Better late than never

I wore this on Sunday to my sister-in-law's bridal shower that all of we bridesmaids hosted. I forgot I had it, otherwise it would have been posted before. The bridesmaid dress color that we are wearing for the wedding is the color of this dress, so I thought it fitting for the shower.

Outfit Post: Green

This morning I decided to take the kids to the movies. Our local theatre has free showings for children at 10:00 on Wednesday mornings. So these are the photos I got straight from the shower, before I fixed my hair and as I was rushing out the door. Last night when I got home from the salon, my hair looked smooth and perfect like this.
I know, very blurry photo. Gone are the days when I have the time to actually use a real camera. Droid camera photos are all I take these days.

After the theatre I was able to curl my hair (gasp). Something I haven't done in ages it seems. I just curled the ends of a few pieces since I am again on the run for more outings today. Here are the lovely headshots of my new haircut. Now, you are all probably not seeing any difference whatsoever. But bear with me. The last time I stepped foot in a salon was 7 years ago. While I've always had my hair done by a professional, it was always inside their home, so I haven't had the full wash treatment in quite a while. I felt completely pampered for two and a half hours last night and can't wait to go back. It may look the same, but it feels totally different. I am a new woman I tell you.

This green dress I won a long time ago from a blog giveaway. It's from Target. The leather belt is from my trip to Florence, and the shoes are Nine West. The faux emerald cuff and earrings are vintage and gifted.

Outfit Post: Florence

This dress is another dress I bought while my baggage was lost. I found this at United Colors of Benetton. I wore it with my gold flat sandals for walking the streets of downtown Florence. At the Santa Croce leather market I picked up this gold obi leather belt to match my gold leather sandals.

Outfit Post: Inside the Colosseum

I bought this dress on the fourth day of my trip. I got it at a closeout sale at United Colors of Benetton. I borrowed the belt from my friend (second picture) who was traveling with us.

By the way, the Colosseum is pretty amazing. Just sayin'.

Outfit Post: Our 7 Year Anniversary

Dress - Express - 7 years ago bought for my going away dress at my reception. Since then I've added the straps and hemmed it

I thought it fitting to post this dress since on this day 7 years ago was when I first wore it. This has been the best 7 years of my life. I'm so grateful to love and be loved by such a wonderful man! To celebrate, we're headed to Italy!
