I'm very protective of my Mondays. The first day of the school week for us includes doing all the laundry for the week, the ironing, and washing all the bedsheets. In addition, CJ has karate and I usually have errands to run. But a couple of weeks ago we happened upon a Monday that was glorious. Clear skies and 75 degrees. I'm learning to embrace the moment so I decided we needed to skip school for a field trip to the zoo. We brought some other family members who were just as adventurous as us and we had the most marvelous day that reminded me why I love homeschooling.
