Maybe it's just my opinion, but Europeans seem to wear a lot of dark colors. I could count on one hand how many women I saw in colored jeans, and black seemed to be everyone's favorite color. It's good to be back in the US where everyone embraces color!

Glad you had a wonderful trip! I went to Italy in 2007 and loved it. My question is did your feet hurt in your sandals from all the walking? I got huge blisters, but I didn't want to resort to the tourist look and wear tennis shoes or hiking sandals :-) I wanted to look stylish, but had to break down eventually and wear my Keen style sandals and give myself away :-)
ReplyDeleteI did not get a single blister, nor had aching feet and I walked on cobblestones everyday for the whole day! I even wore my nude wedge sandals for touring inside the colosseum and my feet felt fine! I wore my Cynthia Vincent gold thong sandals for all the walking we did, and wore my nude wedge sandals every evening out, as well as entire days traveling through airports. I couldn't believe how great my shoes worked out, because I everyone I talked to scoffed at my shoe choices for the trip. I did choose a pair of converse style sneakers for the bike ride, though, not the sandals.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely and not at all jet lagged!
