This past weekend we decided to play tourist in a nearby town. We drove 15 miles to a state park and walked an old historic trail off of the Miami/Erie Canal.
We ended at a pretty bridge on the river.
An old mill from the 1860's still stands and is open to the public.
The kids got to see how logs were sawed back in the Civil War days.
They also got to see how grain was milled.
The mill had four stories. The top story had a really pretty view of the river.
